57-year-old man dies following vehicle crash

A 57-year-old man from Heron Bay, N.B., has died following a vehicle crash near Balmoral, N.B.

On June 24, 2026, at approximately 10:55 a.m., members of the Campbellton RCMP detachment responded to a report of a vehicle crash on des Pionniers Avenue, in Balmoral. The driver and sole occupant of the vehicle was ejected from the vehicle and died at the scene as a result of his injuries.

Members of the Balmoral Fire Department, Ambulance New Brunswick, New Brunswick RCMP collision reconstructionist, and the New Brunswick Coroner’s Office also attended the scene.

The New Brunswick RCMP’s Major Crime Unit is now investigating the events surrounding this incident. Police are interested in a red 1982 Renauld Alliance and a black pick-up truck. 

Anyone who was travelling on des Pionniers Avenue at the time of the incident, who lives in the area, who may have footage of the incident, or has any information that may help the ongoing investigation is asked to contact the New Brunswick RCMP's Major Crime Unit at 1-888-506-RCMP (7267).
