On June 23, Winnipegosis RCMP received a report of a sexual assault that had happened weeks earlier in Camperville.

The incident happened on June 1, between the hours of 1 a.m. and 4 a.m. A teenage girl had left her home after an argument and was walking in the direction of Pine Creek School when an unknown male on an off-road vehicle (ORV) saw her and stopped. He said her father was looking for her and that he would drive her to him.

The girl hopped onto the ORV and the male drove to the Pine Creek Lagoon, where he seriously sexually assaulted her. He then dropped the girl off at a nearby location and drove away.

RCMP are investigating.

The suspect was wearing a black sweater, black sweatpants and a black helmet. He was riding a smaller red and black quad.
